Spaces Open in Upcoming Classes-Evening Tao & Tea, and Immunity Aromatherapy Workshop

There are still some spaces left in these classes that are right around the corner!

Aromatherapy Workshop, Sunday October 1st, 10:00am-11:00am
As the days and nights start to get cooler and we move into Autumn, our bodies prepare for the seasonal changes that come. In this class we will be making a warming immunity blend with the scents of Autumn spice to support the good health of the body through the cooler months. We will be creating two aromatherapy items to take home and enjoy. Registration is required. $35 per person.

Evening Tao & Tea, Monday October 2nd  from 7:00pm-8:00pm $15 per person

Join us for a relaxing hour of Taoist Yoga followed by a tea circle.
The healing art of Taoist Yoga is based on WuXing, the Chinese five alchemical elements of Earth, Metal, Water, Wood & Fire as they are transmuted into Qi (vital life force energy) within the body by moving and static postures to create well being and balance within the body, mind & spirit.
This evening we will focus on gentle and healing restorative movements to prepare the body for a peaceful nights rest, we will end with a reflective meditation and a relaxing cup of tea.
Registration is required and space is limited. Non-refundable if cancelled without 24 hours notice. If cancelled before 24 hours of class your payment can be applied to a future class or service here at the studio within 1 year.

Reiki Gratitude and Giving Program~Reiki Training for those in Need~Integrative Healing Arts Studio, West Reading

A new program offering the gift of Reiki for those in need…

The gentle healing art of Reiki draws on universal life energy to benefit people and animals of any age and in any state of health.  Reiki offers comfort, nurture and support for the good health and balance of your mind, body and spirit. Reiki is an ancient, Eastern, healing art that promotes healing and helps to balance and energize you physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Reiki classes are held here at the studio on a regular basis and beginning this fall 2017 I will be starting a new program to help those that want to learn Reiki and could benefit from it but for whatever circumstance cannot afford to attend a class. It’s called the Reiki Gratitude and Giving Program and each Reiki class I hold I will offer a space to a qualifying student.  The fee for this space in class will be to volunteer his or her new Reiki skills for a set amount of time at a designated location. Currently the volunteer work location will be the Grey Muzzle Manor in Fleetwood, a sanctuary for senior animals and animals with special needs which has also become a place for healing of human souls.

Those interested in this program would need to submit to me a letter of interest and a brief explanation of their circumstances.  A candidate will be chosen from those letters and an interview process will follow. Further details about the program will be given during the interview process.

Submit your letter to Christina at or mail to Integrative Healing Arts Studio, 546 Penn Ave, West Reading, Pa. 19611. Again, this program is for those that are most in need of learning Reiki but could not otherwise afford to, please inquire with honesty. Reliable transportation and flexible schedule is required.

Let Go and Let it Grow-June Musings-Integrative Healing Arts Studio

June Blessings! May is always such a busy time of change and transformation, I’ve just spent the past couple weeks moving the studio and I haven’t had much time for the Spring garden chores. As I wandered my garden the other day I stopped to reflect upon this particular area where I never really did much with. It seems everything I tried to put here did poorly, but now I noticed the way the lambs ears and echinacea have spread around on their own. The anise hyssop also re-seeded and soon there will be mounds of pretty purple and silver flowers in this spot. All of a sudden I can see the beginning of a new garden. I can imagine putting in stepping stones between the plants and adding some garden sculptures, bird baths, and feeders, and tucking in a few more flowers and herbs here and there. Just like that there will be another beautiful corner to find peace in…and here I thought I was out of room for more! So as I often love to do, compare the garden to life, I reflect upon how often we plan things out and put so much thought and detail into the way we think things should be that we often miss out on how beautiful something can turn out if we just let it go for a bit. Sometimes we put a plant in a certain area where we want it, where we think it will look good but it’s just not right, it won’t grow or thrive. Most times it’s not the plant but the location, the soil, not enough sun, or too much; when a plant is allowed to spread to an area where they find comfort they will be stronger, healthier, more resistant to disease and parasites, so will we…The most wonderful things can happen when you keep an open mind and heart so let go and let it grow!

I am officially in my new location now at 546 Penn Ave. I’m just a hop, skip, and a jump from my old space but what an exciting new world it is over here and so full of possibilities, I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!  I’ve started to schedule some classes and events for June and I’ve listed them here, schedules are subject to change so make sure to check the events on the right side of web page for the most up to date information. During June, and possibly the rest of the market season, I will have open hours on Sunday mornings for those that would like to shop the healing boutique, pick up gift certificates, or custom blends. The hours will be in the range of 11ish to 12:30 ish and I’ll post the hours beforehand. If you are out strolling the West Reading Farmers Market make sure to stop in and say hi! To get to the studio you would enter through the front door at 546 (Double Click Computers), go through a second door that will lead you up the steps to the studio which will be straight ahead.
