Course Description: Sinus Pressure Massage involves gentle pressure applied to the sinus areas of the face to bring relief from nasal congestion, facial pain, and headaches. This course will discuss some of the common causes of sinus problems and conditions and demonstrate different techniques the massage therapist can use to relieve pressure and pain for their clients. This class also includes the use of essential oils, crystals, and warm and cold stone applications. All supplies are included. Bring one set of sheets and hand towel.
This class is a mixture of lecture and hands on training. Students will:

● Receive knowledge of various causes of sinus pain and pressure

● Learn the locations of sinus pressure points on the face, hands and feet

● Learn how to give a sinus pressure massage to bring relief to the most common sinus complaints utilizing the use of their hands as well as warm and cold stones and the application of essential oils.

Observe sinus massage techniques as well as give and receive a sinus massage under the guidance of the instructor

● Learn how to use sinus pressure massage to enhance their current services or add on services
Learning Objectives & Outcomes

Upon completion of this course students will demonstrate proficiency in the understanding of the causes of sinus pressure and pain and the techniques that can be used to bring relief to the most common sinus complaints. Students will also learn safety precautions and contraindications involved with sinus conditions and the techniques used.
