Holy Basil, Tulsi, is also known as “The Queen of Herbs” or “The Incomparable One” In Hindu mythology the plant is known as the incarnation of the goddess Tulsi and folklore has it as a plant manifestation of the Divine Mother on Earth, to benefit all of creation.  It is thought that even the ground it grow in is sacred. In Ayurveda holy basil promotes purity and lightness in the body and the wooden stalks are often made into beads used in meditation.

Join us for a fun and informative workshop where we will be discussing some different varieties of holy basil and how to grow, harvest, and use to support the body in good health. A small holy basil plant (Kapoor variety) is included in the class price for you to take home and nurture.
