DESCRIPTION:Learning about crystals is fun with friends\, register with a friend for $10 off each! *Crystals and gemstones have been used for thousands of years as powerful healing aids. We may not always be conscious of it\, but Crystal Therapy is part of our everyday life. We use the power of crystals in the form of rock salt and season our food using table salt crystals. Many people wear precious\, semi-precious stones and different minerals not only as jewelry but for their healing benefits as well.  Crystal healing is a powerful\, yet gentle therapy that works on all levels of the body\, mind and spirit. Crystals have the potential to help all of us in a specialized way. You’ll discover how they can draw in and radiate healing energy specific to each symptom of illness. \nThis is a Crystal Therapy beginner class for those that are new to crystals or would like to further their knowledge in the use of crystals. Class time is 3 hours.  In this class we will explore how crystals synchronize with the seven major chakras for healing and clearing of energy fields.  A set of chakra stones and a pendulum will be included in the price of the class.  We will focus on the healing properties of the stones given in the class and how to use them. \nIn addition\, this class explains how to store and care for your crystals by cleaning\, clearing and charging them to amplify their healing abilities. We’ll also focus on some of the ways crystals and other stones are used in healing methods\, enhancing meditation\, and promoting spiritual development. \nThis class will give you a deeper understanding in one of Mother Nature’s wonderful and natural therapies\, and you’ll soon find yourself pleasantly involved in crystal energy as part of your daily life.\n\nIf you are a Licensed Massage Therapist\, 3 CEU’s will be awarded for this class.  You will learn how to use Crystal Therapy as a stand alone service or how to integrate crystals into your massage sessions.Please see the Classes and Continuing Education Page for important information about continuing education classes.\n\nIf you are a Reiki practitioner crystals can be a wonderful addition to your services as well.  I will show you ways to integrate crystals into your Reiki sessions.\n\nFor this class we will be working on yoga mats.  Please bring one if you have one\, if not I have some extra. This course will discuss some of the common causes of sinus problems and conditions and demonstrate different techniques the massage therapist can use to relieve pressure and pain for their clients. This class also includes the use of essential oils\, crystals\, and warm and cold stone applications. All supplies are included. DESCRIPTION:Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel and commonly refers to the wheels of energy throughout the body.  There are 7 major chakras that are aligned down the spine.  The vibrant energy generated by the chakras is a vital life force that keeps our body\, mind\, and spirit in good health. Students will learn the basics of the chakra system including the traits of each chakra and how they are associated with different areas of the physical body\, emotions\, and mental aspects. Students will also learn how to identify chakra imbalances in themselves and others and simple ways to bring the chakra system back into balance. \nThis is a 3 hour class. $60-Registration is required. Early Registration discount of $15 if registered by 11/12. A non-refundable deposit of $20 will be required during registration to hold your place. There is a minimum number of students needed to hold a class\, if this is not met the class will be rescheduled to a later date. Payment is due in full on the first day of class. DESCRIPTION:Thank you\, this class is now full -Anyone is welcome to join\, 2 CEU’s awarded to Licensed Massage Therapists.  This is a 2 hour class where you will learn how to maintain your mind~body~spirit and be a strong vessel with Taoist Yoga.  Taoist Yoga is based on WuXing\, the five Chinese alchemical elements of Earth\, Metal\, Water\, Wood & Fire as they are transmuted into Qi (vital life force energy) within the body by moving and static postures to create well being and balance within the body\, mind & spirit. I will instruct you through an easy to remember series of moving and static postures that follow the natural cycle of these elements.  For me personally\, Taoist Yoga has been the foundation and strength behind everything that I do. Wear comfortable clothing\, bring a yoga mat and a notebook if you wish to take notes. There is a minimum amount of people needed to hold this class\, if that is not met date will be rescheduled.  \nThe calendula flower Calendula officinalis is well known for its ability to heal and has therapeutic actions that include anti-inflammatory\, antiseptic\, antispasmodic\, astringent\, and emollient. These actions make it an effective choice to use for an infused massage oil. Calendula has been used topically for muscle soreness and many types of skin problems. The oil has the ability to soften and smooth the skin and scar tissue and is very well tolerated by those with sensitive skin. \nRequired Supplies­-1 set of sheets and pillowcase. 1 large towel. \nYou will be supplied with 4oz bottle of infused oil\, 1oz dried calendula flowers. \nThis class is a mixture of lecture and hands on training. Students will: \n●  Receive knowledge of the therapeutic actions of the plant and how it applies to massage and other uses \n●  Learn the basics of how to choose a base oil for the infusion \n●  Learn how to make the infused oil in class \n\n\nLearn any contraindications of the infused oil\n\n\n    ●  Practice massage therapy techniques on classmates using infused oil \n\nLearning Objectives & Outcomes \n           Upon completion of this course students will demonstrate proficiency in the understanding of the therapeutic actions of the calendula flower and how to prepare and use an infused oil from the flowers.  Students will also learn safety precautions and contraindications involved with the calendula flower.
